The Equality Observatory of the Ministry for Gender Equality and Diversity reflects the situation of equality between women and men in Luxembourg in seven areas. It provides the general public with gender-disaggregated statistics measuring equality in employment, education, public and private life, including domestic violence.
In the field of domestic violence, the annual report to the government on the evolution of domestic violence in Luxembourg published annually by the Committee for Cooperation between professionals in the fight against violence is the reference document on the evolution of domestic violence in Luxembourg.
In the field of violence, the aim of the Observatory is to complement the legal data collection on domestic violence at national level with additional data collected outside the law by other key actors and institutions. The Observatory will gradually propose more comprehensive indicators in order to provide a more complete picture of domestic violence in Luxembourg.
